A healthy body is the precondition for a successful and fulfilling (professional) life as a musician.
With the malzer-support, a support for oboists and clarinetists has been developed that can prevent physical complaints and significantly reduce the strain of playing.
"After 30 years on the Principal Oboe in the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Camerata Salzburg, I was able to play more on the cor anglais, which not only expanded my repertoire, but also gave me a lot of pleasure.
However, this put a lot more strain on my right hand and in particular on my right thumb. As a result, I worked on the development of a first prototype of the malzer-support.
The positive effect was so extraordinary that, together with Gilberto Zappatini, the developer of the synthesis strap for bassoon, and after further refinement, I produced the now flexible malzer-support in the best Swiss quality.
The addition of the vario-adapter also offers this support for other instruments (e.g. oboe, clarinet, basset horn, basset clarinet, alto and bass clarinet, etc.).
It is important to me to recommend the malzer-support as an aid to all my oboist colleagues and I am very pleased that clarinettists, including those on the basset clarinet, also benefit from it."
