Attaching the adapter to the synthesis harness

  1. Remove the foil from the adapter.

  2. Stick the adapter on the outside, lower end of the rod on the harness.

Mounting the key ring

The key ring must be attached to the existing eyelet of the instrument. This is where the synthesis harness will later be hooked on to.

Mounting the bracket

  1. Open the screw cap and pull the metal bracket out of the sleeve and screw cap.

  2. Pass the metal bracket through the support eyelet of the instrument.

  3. Insert the ends of the metal bracket through the screw cap again.

  4. Insert the ends of the metal bracket into the sleeve.

  5. Place the screw cap on the sleeve.

  6. Adjust the length and screw down the screw cap.

Setting the distance

  1. Slightly loosen the screw cap.

  2. Determine the desired distance between the synthesis support system and the instrument by moving the metal bracket. The frame ends must remain at least 2 cm in the sleeve.

  3. Tighten the screw cap completely.

Optional: Long metal bracket - adjusting the length

  1. Estimate the distance between the adapter on the synthesis harness and the instrument. Note that after shortening the metal bracket there is still an adjustment range available. Shorten preferably in small increments rather than cutting off too much immediately.

  2. Use a wire cutter to cut off the end of the metal bracket. Both rods should be cut to the same length.

  3. Use a metal file to round off the cutting surfaces so that they can be inserted through the two holes of the screw cap without resistance.

Mount the vario-adapter on the rod of the synthesis harness

  1. Place the two adapter parts on the rod. The adapter part with the indentation faces towards the instrument.

  2. Insert both screws and tighten evenly on both sides with the Allen key provided, so that the vario-adapter can still be moved with a little resistance.

  3. Fasten the malzer-support to the instrument (see malzer-support instructions).

  4. Tighten the synthesis harness and hang the instrument on the harness.

  5. Prop the malzer-support in the vario-adapter.

  6. By pushing the vario-adapter up and down and by lengthening and shortening the malzer-support find the point where the instrument can be played most comfortably.

  7. When the optimal position has been found, tighten the two screws on the vario-adapter so that the position of the vario-adapter is secured.
