Principal Oboe of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg for 40 years, from 1983 until 2022. Principal Oboe of the Camerata Salzburg under Sandor Végh, Sir Roger Norrington, Frans Brüggen, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Heinrich Schiff, François Leleux, Franz Welser-Möst and Sir Neville Marriner. Guest Principal Oboe with many orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian State Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra to name a few.
Soloist and chamber musician in various ensembles with musicians such as András Schiff, Heinz Holliger, Alfred Brendel, Rudolf Buchbinder, Sandor Végh and Murray Perahia. Since 2012 member of the orchestra "Cappella Andrea Barca" with Sir András Schiff. Performances at international concert halls and in music festivals like the Vienna Festival, Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, Tokyo, BBC Proms, Edinburgh Festival, Omaggio a Palladio in Vicenza etc.
Lecturer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and internationally at numerous master classes. Creator of a collection with basic exercises ("Die Spieltechnik der Oboe" - Hofmeister Verlag), together with Günther Passin, which have proven their worth over many years of pedagogical practice.
Graduated with distinction from the "Mozarteum University Salzburg" under Prof. Arthur Jensen. Practical training at the Karajan Academy in Berlin and in master classes with Ingo Goritzky, Günther Passin and Lothar Koch.
